After a decade hiatus from Miami’s biggest music festival, DJ and producer Skrillex performed at Ultra, bringing with him special guests and some fan-favorite hits. Check out footage of the complete set right here:
Breaking out throwbacks like “Where Are Ü Now” and “Bangarang”, Skrillex - real name Sonny Moore - played a number of more recent tracks from his 2023 albums Quest For Fire and Don’t Get Too Close. The performance also saw guest appearances from Damian Marley, Young Niko, NAISHA, and Flowdan, who played a rendition of their previous collaboration, “Baddadan”.
His return to Ultra follows up a relatively quiet 2024 for Skrillex. In comparison, a busy 2023 kicked off with a sold-out, five-hour long set at Madison Square Garden alongside Four Tet and Fred Again… while in April of that same year, he took the stage as Frank Ocean’s replacement as Coachella 2023’s headliner.
Earlier this year, the DJ’s official X account posted a message for fans, requesting their email addresses in exchange for new music. After a brief tour in Asia and workthing through the LA wildfires, Skrillex returned on February 11th with an announcement for both new tracks and his appearance at Ultra.

The weekend show was temporarily shut down after the Weather Service of Miami issued a flash flood warning, with six inches of rain hitting the area. City officials advised attendees to seek shelter until the storm ended. The festival soldiered on shortly after the rain had passed, nearly mirroring 2024’s Ultra - though luckily, not enough to shut the whole show down.
