Following her January single "Portrait of a Cat Lady", Shilpa Ray is back with a second song in her ongoing series of "explorations with Americana and aging." Touching on garage rock, soul, and easy listening, Ray says she was vocally inspired by classic artists like Linda Ronstadt and Karen Carpenter, though Lucinda Williams also comes to mind.
