Fela Kuti's son Seun shares remix of 'Move' featuring Kamasi Washington

Seun Kuti, the youngest son of Afrobeat icon Fela Kuti, released his Lenny Kravitz-produced LP Heavier Yet (Lays the Crownless Head) last year. A deluxe edition will be out on May 28th, chock-full of remixes by artists including Sampa the Great and Posdnous from De La Soul – and a fresh taste can be heard today.

An edit of "Move," dubbed the "Keep Moving Version," features none other than composer and saxophonist Kamasi Washington, who has collaborated with such artists as Herbie Hancock and Kendrick Lamar. You can take a listen to the single below.

Kuti is currently staging a tour across the U.S., leading his father's former band, Egypt 80. His next gig consists of a performance at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 24th. Get a ticket to any of the remaining shows here.
