Details of the federal charges against Sean "Diddy" Combs have emerged following his arrest last night at an NYC hotel. A 14-page document unsealed by the U.S. District Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York this morning lists serious charges including racketeering and sex trafficking by force, fraud or coercion.
You can read the full document here and it makes for pretty grim reading, including charges of multiple acts of kidnapping, arson, bribery, tampering with witnesses, forced labor, sex trafficking, and drug distribution. If convicted of the charges, Combs could face decades in prison.
Speaking to reporters earlier today, an attorney for Combs said that the Bad Boy Entertainment founder was in good spirits and feeling confident, and confirmed that Combs intends to plead not guilty. “He's dealing with this head-on like he's dealt with every challenge in his life,” they said. “He's going to fight this with all of his energy and all of his might."
