The fall of the house of Diddy took a dramatic turn last night as the hip hop mogul was reportedly taken into custody by federal agents after being indicted by a grand jury in Manhattan.
The indictment apparently did not come as a surprise to the rapper and Bad Boy Entertainment founder. An attorney for Combs told Variety last night that Combs had voluntarily relocated to the city in anticipation of the charges being brought, saying “Please reserve your judgment until you have all the facts. These are the acts of an innocent man with nothing to hide, and he looks forward to clearing his name in court.”

Further details on the exact nature of the currently sealed indictment are expected to emerge later today, but it’s no secret that Diddy has been under federal investigation for alleged sex trafficking. Properties owned by Diddy in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by Homeland Security earlier this year as part of that investigation, which an attorney for Combs condemned at the time as an “unprecedented ambush” and a “witch hunt.” As of this morning, Combs' Los Angeles home has been sealed off by police, according to a report by The Independent.
Combs has also been accused by multiple people of sexual assault and other physical and emotional abuse, including former girlfriend Cassie Ventura and, just last week, former Danity Kane member Dawn Richard. Aside from settling with Ventura in the face of clear-cut video evidence of horrifically violent behavior towards her, Combs has so far denied any claims of sexual misconduct.
