Philly's metallic heathens Savage Mystic have announced a new five-track EP titled Active Crimes, due out next month via the recently resurrected Dark Empire Records.

The band's guitarist Francis Kano, otherwise known as Darkest Prince, is most known for his work in the Philly black metal bands Devil Master and Spiter, as well as his involvement as touring bassist for hardcore legends Integrity.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Will Mellor (who also produced the EP), Active Crimes is a five-track introduction to a band steadily etching its name in the bowels of Killadephia.

You can check out the EP's first single, "Older Than Sin", below:

The band is yet another worthy addition to Dark Empire's roster, joining bands like Glorior Belli, Funeral Dancer, Iggor Cavalera x Dwid Hellion, etc.

Savage Mystic plans to hit the road for an East Coast run next month with Spiter, Virgos, and a few Dark Empire labelmates. More info will be revealed soon.

Active Crimes EP track listing:

1. Morphine Nights
2. Older Than Sin
3. Passing Through Interlude
4. Vampire's Noon
5. Christ Before Pilate

In 2021, renowned videographer Sunny Singh captured an early performance of the band bringing down the house at Ortlieb's in Philadelphia, as seen below:
