Professional tearjerker, musician, and philanthropist Sarah McLachlan has let a new single into the world. Entitled "Gravity", the five-minute, piano-driven track comes from her upcoming album, Better Broken – her first LP of original material since 2014 (she released a Christmas album in 2016) – which is out September 19 via Concord.
"Gravity" follows the title track as the second single released from the project. The music video, directed by Lauren Wade, can be seen below:
The Canadian singer-songwriter wrote the song as a tribute to her daughter, after the pair underwent counseling together. "I wrote ‘Gravity’ as a way of saying to her, ‘I’ve always loved you and want the best for you, and you’re perfect the way you are,'" McLachlan says in a press release.
