Sabrina Carpenter performs Tiny Desk Concert

NPR Music's famous Tiny Desk Concert series just got a little shorter and sweeter, as Sabrina Carpenter showed up to perform her music with 11 other band musicians. All of the songs she performed come from Carpenter's 2024 break through album Short n' Sweet, which has received critical success and 6 Grammy nominations. She even did a "Juno position" for her performance of "Juno" that has become a staple for her every time she performs the song live.

A little over a week ago, Billie Eilish also did a Tiny Desk Concert as well. These performances really cap off a huge year for both of these women who were both on top of pop music charts for much of 2024.

Here is the setlist for Sabrina Carpenter's Tiny Desk Concert:

“Taste”
“Bed Chem”
“Please Please Please”
“Slim Pickins”
“Espresso”
“Juno”

Carpenter's band had a lot of moving pieces to it to seamlessly recreate the songs for the live performance, using lots of instruments like guitars, violins, bass, keyboards and more. Here is every musician who performed with Carpenter and what role they played in the performance:

Sabrina Carpenter: vocals
Haeun “hani” You: piano, keyboards
Caleb Nelson: guitar
Matt Park: pedal steel guitar
Chris Johnson: drums
Alexandra Simpson: viola
Sarena Hsu: violin
Yasmeen “YAS” Al-Mazeedi: violin
Bobby Wooten III: bass
Marza Merophi Wilks: cello
Christine Noel Smit: background vocals
MIA MOR: background vocals

There was a segment in the middle where Carpenter took a moment to acknowledge how talented her band was. She then had all the musicians introduce themselves and – for laughs – asked them to state their height. Carpenter joked on Instagram that the performance was just "desk" to her since she's not that tall anyway.
