Rush announce 2026 North American tour

Canadian prog institution Rush have announced a tour of North America in 2026, picking up where their 2015 R40 shows left off. Bassist and singer Geddy Lee, along with guitarist Alex Lifeson, will be joined by German drummer Anika Nilles, who is taking the place of Neil Peart.

Since Peart passed away in January of 2020, Lee and Lifeson have made sporadic appearances, paying tribute to Taylor Hawkins and celebrating South Park's anniversary. Nilles, meanwhile, became a breakout talent on YouTube last decade, and produces music with her band Nevell.

The Fifty Something tour will begin with two Los Angeles shows in June, and will last through September when the trio reach Cleveland.

Lee stated in a press release that he and Lifeson "have done some serious soul searching and come to the decision that we fucking miss it, and that it’s time for a celebration of 50-something years of RUSH music."

Garrie Nuttall-Peart and Olivia Peart – Neil's widow and daughter, respectively – have said, in part, that they "are thrilled to support the Fifty Something tour, celebrating a band whose music has resonated and inspired fans for generations, and to honor Neil’s extraordinary legacy as both a drummer and lyricist."

You can sign up for a pre-sale here before October 9th at midnight EST. The pre-sale begins on October 13th at 12:00 p.m. local time. General on-sale follows on October 17th, beginning noon local time through Ticketmaster.
