After more than a decade away from international stages, Rush are taking their celebration global. The Fifty Something Tour sees Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson return to Europe and South America with a run of arena dates that honor 50 years of the band’s music and the legacy of Neil Peart.
In 2025, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees, GRAMMY® nominees, and the surviving architects of Rush, stepped back into the limelight with the announcement of the Fifty Something Tour. A run across Canada, the U.S., and Mexico in 2026, the tour was conceived as both celebration and communion: 50 years of music, legacy, and a heartfelt tribute to their late bandmate, drummer and lyricist Neil Peart.
The first 22 dates vanished in a blink. Demand swelled. By the time the dust settled, the tour had ballooned to 58 shows across 24 cities, more than half a million tickets spoken for in 2026 alone.
Today, the band confirmed that the Fifty Something Tour will extend into South America, the United Kingdom, and Europe in early 2027. It will mark their first European performances since 2013 and their first South American dates in 17 years, a long absence for regions that have long treated Rush more like visiting royalty.
The 2027 leg will span 24 shows in 13 countries, formatted as “An Evening With” performances, two sets per night. True to form, Lee and Lifeson are digging deep, building nightly setlists from a rotating catalog of more than 40 songs. The promise is simple: no two nights will be exactly alike.
Joining them is German drummer, composer, and producer Anika Nilles, a formidable presence who’s logged over 60 shows behind the kit for Jeff Beck and built a solo career that proves she’s more than capable of stepping into complex rhythmic terrain. On keys, Loren Gold known for his work with The Who and Roger Daltrey, adds another layer to the evolving live dynamic.
Lee sounds genuinely energized about the undertaking, talking about marathon rehearsals and the joy of rediscovery, relearning 40 songs, reshaping arrangements, and giving the shows room to breathe and evolve. Many longtime crew members have returned, helping craft the kind of expansive, immersive production fans have come to expect. It promises to be the full-scale Rush experience.
The Fifty Something Tour feels like an act of gratitude, to the fans, to the music, and to a brother whose absence is still felt in every bar of 7/8.

VIP packages are available and include premium seating, meet-and-greet opportunities, behind-the-scenes production tours, full rig rundowns, exclusive merchandise, access to a VIP bar, and more.
