After a tumultuous few years for HBO drama Euphoria, production has finally begun on its newest season. With this has come a few announcements regarding the cast of the series headed by Sam Levinson, who previously worked on The Idol with Abel Tesfaye (The Weeknd). Spanish pop artist Rosalía will now be included as part of the third season.
She gave the following statement:
"If there’s anything that excites me as much as creating a good melody or writing a great lyric it’s becoming a better performer every day. Euphoria has been my favorite series over the last few years and I couldn’t be happier and more grateful to be acting alongside all of these incredibly talented people that I admire so much and contributing my “granito de arena” to bring Sam’s vision to reality to make magic. I can’t wait to share what we’re doing!!! Besitos, Rosi."
Rosalía last had a cameo in Spanish language film Dolor y gloria, directed by Pedro Almodóvar, as well as starring her own cinematic music videos.
She will join returning cast-members Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Eric Dane, and Sydney Sweeney, among others. Other new additions to the cast include Super Bowl winner Marshawn Lynch and NAACP Image Award winner Kadeem Hardison. Fellow musician Dominic Fike will not be returning.
