Fans can also vote for their favorite artists at the Hall of Fame’s website. Fans can vote for seven nominees every day, once per day, until April 21st. The fan vote will have an effect on the final decision, but exactly how is uncertain.
Artists can only be nominated 25 years after the release of their debut commercial recordings. Of the nominees, Bad Company, The Black Crowes, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Billy Idol, Maná, Outkast, and Phish are all eligible for the first time this year. There are three special committee categories that have not been revealed: Musical Influence, Musical Excellence, and the Ahmet Ertegun Non-Performer Award.
The inductees selected from this list will be revealed in April, and the 2025 Induction Ceremony will take place in Los Angeles this Fall, with the official date still to be determined.
