Pusha T calls Travis Scott "a whore," disses him on new Clipse track "So Be It"

On "So Be It", Clipse's second new single from their forthcoming record Let God Sort Em Out, dropping July 11th, Pusha T had some choice words for Travis Scott.

Watch the music video for below, directed by Hannan Hussain:

Earlier on in the track, both Malice and Push name-dropped Pharrell, producer of the track and former The Neptunes member. Malice specifically mentioned the falling out that Pharrell had with Chad Hugo, his former production partner, which caused a falling out over The Neptunes name:

"Wish upon the stars on my roof, they all scattered / Ain’t no more Neptunes, so P’s Saturn"

In the fourth verse, Push makes a sly reference to Travis Scott's ex Kylie Jenner, who started up a successful makeup brand:

"You cried in front of me, you died in front of me / Calabasas took your bitch and your pride in front of me / Heard Utopia had moved right up the street / And her lip gloss was poppin', she ain’t need you to eat"

While this might not be a clear dig, Push explained the source of his new beef in an interview with GQ. In 2023, Clipse were in the studio with Pharrell recording for their upcoming record when Travis Scott came in demanding that he show them his at-the-time-unreleased album UTOPIA. However, he neglected to preview a certain part that featured Push's mortal enemy Drake:

"He interrupted a session. He sees me and [Malice] there. He's like, ‘Oh, man, everybody's here,’ he's smiling, laughing, jumping around, doing his fucking monkey dance. we weren't into the music but he wanted to play it, wanted to film us listening to it. And then a week later you hear, 'Meltdown', which he didn't play. He played the song, but not Drake's verse."

After this realization, Push had some choice words for Scott, even going as far as to call him a "whore" because of his lack of allegiance:

He don't have no picks, no loyalty to nobody. He'll jump around whatever he feels is hot or cling onto whatever he feels is hot. So, that's where my issue comes in—like, dawg, don't even come over here with that, because at the end of the day, I don't play how y'all play. To me, that really was just like…he's a whore. He's a whore.

Fans recall that it was Travis Scott who enthusiastically requested Metro Boomin and Future play their now-infamous track "Like That", which features the verse from Kendrick Lamar that helped ignite his beef with Drake. But it appears Scott has been playing both sides.
