German experimental noise rockers ZAHN have unveiled their latest single, "DIAABEND", out now via Crazysane Records.
The song is taken from the trio's upcoming album Purpur, due out Feb. 20 via Crazysane Records. Check out the official video for the song below:
Featuring current and former members of The Ocean, Heads., Muff Poffer and others, ZAHN offers a bold escape from your daily life through technicolor transmissions of post-rock, krautrock, dark jazz, noise-rock, post-punk and electronic music.
Says Breuer:
"'Diaabend' is our attempt to capture the strange magic of a real slide-show evening: that harmless clicking through the first images, the slow sinking into nostalgia, and then the emotional peak when the old family photos appear —beautiful, painful, and sometimes a bit embarrassing. And when it all becomes too much, there’s nothing left but drifting into the absurd."
"In the video, we’re not just watching the slides; we’re watching you watch us," he continues. "With a fixed stare, almost no movement, and minimal means, we try to create a quiet sense of unease that seeps directly into the listener.”
