Dallas crossover thrashers Power Trip have announced their upcoming third album Precinct 3, due out Spring 2027 via Blue Grape Music.
The announcement comes as the band drops the double single "Precinct 3" / "Scavenger," the first taste of new music since the untimely death of founding vocalist Riley Gale in 2020. The new tracks feature vocalist Seth Gilmore (Fugitive, Scourge), who has been fronting the band since 2023.

Recorded at Empire Sound in Carrollton, Texas, with uber-producer Jacob Hansen (Amon Amarth, Trivium), the release is the band's first studio outing in nearly a decade and the first since Power Trip earned a Grammy nomination for their 2021 live recording of "Executioner's Tax (Swing of the Axe)."
"Precinct 3" / "Scavenger" will be released as a limited seven-inch, available for pre-order here, in addition to a Record Store Day Black Friday exclusive with alternate artwork, available at indie record shops nationwide November 27.

Writing music for the first time without their larger-than-life founding vocalist, guitarist and co-producer Blake Ibanez said the band often thought of Gale throughout the writing process:
“When we were writing this, we wondered what Riley would have wanted to write about. So once we decided on that approach, it honestly came really easily – the lyrics were flowing and it just felt like the right way to kick off this new chapter and honor him. I think he would have been stoked to see it come to fruition.”

Later this month, the Texas quintet hit the road for three dates, including an opening gig in Mexico celebrating 40 years of Slayer's Reign In Blood and festival appearances at Sick New World Texas and The Great NOLA Trendkill.
Tour Dates:
10/21 Mexico City, MX @ Slayer: Reign in Blood 40th Anniversary
10/24 Fort Worth, TX @ Sick New World Texas
11/20 New Orleans, LA @ The Great NOLA Trendkill (w/ Pantera, Down, Crowbar, Corrosion of Conformity, etc.)
