Portishead set to reunite for Brian Eno’s 'Together for Palestine' concert

On August 8, Brian Eno revealed the lineup for his benefit show Together for Palestine, featuring Damon Albarn, James Blake, and PinkPantheress. Absent from the initial announcement, however, were pioneering trip-hop group Portishead — who have now been confirmed to appear via a pre-taped live performance of their iconic Dummy track “Roads”.

Speaking on their involvement in an Instagram post, band member Adrian Utley wrote: “We are proud to be a part of this event and community standing in solidarity with Palestine and calling for an end to the genocide.”

Eno, who will also perform at the concert, spoke about the event, saying:

“In the face of the horrors of Gaza, silence becomes complicity. Artists have always helped societies to point out injustice and imagine better futures. That’s why this concert matters.”

The show is set for September 17, with proceeds donated to Palestinian-led humanitarian organizations through Choose Love, a UK charity supporting local aid workers in conflict zones. You can purchase tickets here.
