Following the release of “new way out” earlier this summer, heavy new single “they’re all around us” confirms what many Poppy fans have been hoping for: the post-genre artist is seemingly back in her metalcore bag after detouring into more restrained dark electro pop with last year’s Zig.
Not much is known about Poppy’s next full-length album, other than Bring Me the Horizon's Jordan Fish having been confirmed as producer. Fish also co-wrote both “new way out” and “they’re all around us”, together with Poppy and Stephen Harrison of Fever 333.
During the press cycle for Zig, Poppy hinted several times that there would be a ‘part two’ of the album, which some fans are already calling Zag in the absence of any official title. One alternative might be COWARD, following a post shared on Poppy’s Instagram yesterday.

Back in January of this year, Poppy was a featured artist on metal band Bad Omens’ track “V.A.N.”, from their album Concrete Jungle [The OST], and an official live version was released at the end of May.
Poppy has just one performance scheduled for the remainder of 2024, appearing at Mayhem Festival in San Bernadino, CA, on 12 October.
