Earlier this morning, the Department of Justice hosted a press conference regarding the arrests, stating that nine people have been charged thus far in connection with the case. according to the DOJ, three men traveled to Dallas to meet with Shiesty and discuss business matters at a recording studio. When they got there, they were instead met with what is being described as "an armed takeover."

Shiesty allegedly threatened the men, one of whom was apparently Atlanta rapper Gucci Mane, whose label he is contractually tied to, with an AK-style rifle, and demanded that he sign off on a recording contract release form. Shiesty's crew then robbed the men of jewelry, money, and other items they had on them. The DOJ claims that Shiesty was the ringleader of this incident.

Surveillance footage, Instagram posts, rental car records, and fingerprints are just some of the evidence authorities used to bring the case against Shiesty and his co-conspirators.

Gucci Mane's team has yet to comment on this.
