Playboi Carti’s forthcoming release, I AM MUSIC, is imminent, as he is set to perform the new album at Rolling Loud Miami, held at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, from 13-15 December.
Announced yesterday (26 November) on his label’s Instagram account @opium_00pium, he confirms that “I AM MUSIC WILL B PLAYED” during his performance at the festival’s ten year anniversary; his set is scheduled for 15 December. A few days ago, Carti cancelled two festival appearances: Wireless Festival Middle East on 23 November, and Rolling Loud Thailand on 24 November.
The Miami festival re-posted the news on their Instagram account and gave more info on X: “CARTI JUST PLAYED US SOME NEW MUSIC ON FACETIME. I AM MUSIC IS COMING.” They also urged the Atlanta rapper to drop a new single, “DROP THAT SINGLE YOU PLAYED US TWIN @playboicarti.”
Following the official announcement, Rolling Loud posted “BEFORE,” which many fans interpreted and may imply that the LP comes out on 13 December, two days before Carti’s performance. Responding to fan questions, the account confirmed “Two of the songs he [Carti] played got huge features on it.”
For the album's rollout, the "King Vamp" has released various snippets and singles on his side account and Youtube channel, the most recent being “PLAY THIS”. The record went on pre-order on his website back in September, shipping no later than six months from 12 September, 2024.
