Playboi Carti previews new track with The Weeknd and more from upcoming album 'I AM MUSIC' at Rolling Loud Miami

Yesterday (15 December) was the third and final day of Rolling Loud Miami at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens. Artists such as Tia Corine, Denzel Curry, Destroy Lonely, Ken Carson, Shaboozey, and Lil Baby took the Amazon Music stage.

The last performance, at 10:45pm, scheduled for Playboi Carti, was heavily marketed by the festival on social media weeks before it started. The reason: new songs from the rapper’s upcoming album, I AM MUSIC, were to be played for the first time.

And in fact they were, as the Atlanta native’s setlist consisted mainly of singles from his upcoming record, recent collaborations and, of course, brand-new material.

Right off the bat, he started with “Cocaine Nose” – some titles are unofficial as of now – a new-F1LTHY produced metal-laden mayhem which you can watch below:

Subsequent to playing Metro Boomin’s and Future’s “Type Shit”, from this year’s Grammy nominated album WE DON’T TRUST YOU, the King Vamp went for a string of novelties from his forthcoming LP. He performed “H00DBYAIR”, “K3TAMINE”, and “EVILJ0RDANback to back; all previously teased on his @opium_00pium Instagram account.

Carti followed it up by unveiling the never-before heard “Walk”, with production from Metro Boomin:

For a moment, the audience returned to 2020 with Whole Lotta Red’s “Rockstar Made”, although only for a short time, as he carried on with two more singles from I AM MUSIC: “Different Day” and “2024”.

After various hit-collaborations – and Carti claiming “This is my song. Every song I’m on is my song” during his “Carnival” performance – we received the last two new previews: “Drugs Got Me Numb” and a worthy finale with a new joint track alongside The Weeknd on the heels of their pairing on “Timeless”, from Abel Tesfaye’s impending album Hurry Up Tomorrow.

If you're unsatisfied with that, soon after the festival ended, the rapper shared a brief sneak peak of a new song featuring Travis Scott and a music video:

Fans are still waiting for the "Magnolia" singer to drop his long-awaited album I AM MUSIC before the year ends. We still don't have a release date marked on the calendar. Keep an eye on Rolling Loud's Youtube Channel for when they upload the full Playboi Carti set.
