Pink Floyd has released a trailer for the newly restored edition of their concert film, Pink Floyd At Pompeii, originally filmed in 1972. The new version will arrive to cinemas and IMAX theaters worldwide starting on April 24, with tickets available currently.
The original film, directed by Adrian Maben, features the band performing in the ancient Roman amphitheater in Pompeii in October 1971, without no audience present whatsoever aside from the crew that filmed it. The setlist includes classic Pink Floyd tunes like "Echoes," "Set The Controls For The Heart Of The Sun," and "One Of These Days."

According to a press release, Pink Floyd At Pompeii was produced before the iconic album The Dark Side Of The Moon was released. So given that, the film gives a great look into the band before their meteoric rise within the music industry.
The restoration uses the original 35mm negatives, which were recently found, and features enhanced audio remixed by Steven Wilson. A live album corresponding with the movie will also be made available through Legacy Recordings on May 2.
