Today marks the 10th anniversary of the release of Too Bright, Mike Hadreas's breakthrough third album as Perfume Genius. To celebrate, the LA-based artist has released three outtakes from the recording sessions in a new digital edition of the album that dropped at midnight. Listen to "Story of Love", "My Place", and "When U Need Someone" below. A new vinyl edition, without the bonus tracks, was released on Friday.

Hadreas and his longtime partner and musical collaborator Alan Wyffels are currently working on a seventh Perfume Genius album for Matador Records, following 2022's experimental Ugly Season. Two new Perfume Genius songs dropped in July as part of the soundtrack to the Luke Gilford-directed film National Anthem. The two had previously worked together on the album cover and artwork for Too Bright. Hadreas has also recently worked with The Knocks on a new version of Bronski Beat's "Smalltown Boy" and guested on Fashion Club's recent single "Forget".

Hadreas has performed "Story of Love" live at least once, way back in 2012, and has been playing "My Place" at select shows on his current Too Bright 10th Anniversary Tour.

There are just three dates left of the tour:

09/24 San Francisco, CA @ Great American Music Hall
09/26 Los Angeles, CA @ Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever
09/28 Los Angeles, CA @ Masonic Lodge at Hollywood Forever
