They're back! The Japanese punk-rock outfit Otoboke Beaver have released their first song in four years, "I Don’t Need To Be In Your Strike Zone." This is their first release since their 2022 album, Super Champon.
The song precedes two upcoming complementary singles – "Hey, Where's the Thank You?" and "Is The New album Out Yet?" – each set to release April 10 and April 15 respectively.

The band is planning a physical release of the singles on 4” record available on June 10th. These singles are also the last recordings featuring longtime drummer Kahokiss, who went on maternity leave late last year and subsequently announced her retirement from the group in early 2026. The group has welcomed Emi "Leo" Morimoto, former drummer of the band Shonen Knife and a longtime friend, to fill the role as their new drummer.

Otoboke Beaver will be opening for the Foo Fighters in June for their European tour, followed by a single show in Oakland, CA.
