Ahead of a planned celebration of his life, which takes place June 3–7 at Paisley Park and downtown Minneapolis, NPG Records have shared a previously unheard Prince recording of "With This Tear," dating back to November 1991. The track was recorded soon after by Céline Dion, who released it on her 1992 self-titled LP.

Newly mixed and mastered by his former engineer Chris James, the Prince original of "With This Tear" is the first of a series of releases from the artist's legendary vault planned for 2026, leading up to a new album project.
