Oasis have announced a UK & Ireland reunion tour for next summer, fifteen years after the band broke up, with dates in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin.
"Oasis today end years of feverish speculation with the confirmation of their long awaited run of UK and Ireland shows," the band stated on their website, also confirming that "plans are underway for OASIS LIVE '25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year."
The band stated: "The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."
The announcement was also accompanied by a trailer, mostly comprising concert footage from the 1990s and interview clips from 2016 documentary Supersonic.
Rumours that the brothers had ended their legendary feud and were planning a series of reunion gigs began to swirl over the weekend, following a report from The Times. On Sunday night a cryptic post was shared simultaneously to the X accounts of Oasis, Liam, and Noel, which all but confirmed the reunion, promising an announcement at 8am on Tuesday morning. It comes only one day before the 15-year anniversary of the band's breakup.
Before taking the stage at Rock en Seine in Paris in 2009, a spokesperson came out to state that the brothers had a "huge, big fight together in the dressing room," disbanding the group that had dominated British rock music for a decade and a half.
Oasis were almost as famous for the Gallagher brothers' infighting as they were for their music. So fabled was the feud that a recording of Noel and Liam arguing in an interview reached No. 52 on the UK Singles Chart. From attacking each other with cricket bats to questioning the fathers of their children, the tensions were so bad that, by the end, Oasis were traveling on separate buses with separate dressing rooms, essentially only ever together on stage.
The reunion comes as a shock to many, reportedly including those close to Noel and Liam themselves. Liam has been vocal about his desire to reunite the band, but Noel has been firm in his stance against it—the reunion comes as, seemingly, a very sudden change of heart from the songwriter. They have previously been ranked by publications like NME and Radio X as one of the least likely bands to ever reunite, and The Sun said the upcoming tour is "expected to be the most in-demand tour in British concert history".
