Japanese artist Nobukazu Takemura has released a new single titled "deep sea's rainbow part2", an excerpt from a trilogy suite taken from his upcoming album knot of meanings, due out September 26 via Thrill Jockey Records.

Of the piece, Takemura elaborates: "This is a slightly edited version of the soundtrack of the animation by sukimaki animation, produced with a grant from the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Science."

Takemura, on the topic of the record and its title and inspirations, says:

"Personally, I see this knot as an opportunity to rebuild my relationship with God. I feel that the meaning of life is to find and rediscover this connection every day. Much of technology has unfortunately developed in a way that pursues convenience and promotes egoism. The world has lost its center, people have become scattered, and culture has stagnated by repeating the same things."

His third single from the album, "deep sea's rainbow part2" continues the mosaic of aural technicolor established by earlier tracks "an ephemeral radiant" and "ladder of meaning". Waves of emotion pour over the track's robust arrangement of electronic strings, marimba, and bells.

Pre-orders for knots of meanings are available here.
