Nipsey Hussle's brother says a posthumous album is coming this year

In an interview at the Los Angeles radio station Power 106, Blacc Sam, brother and former business partner of the late Nipsey Hussle, revealed that a new album by the west coast rapper is on the way.

The unofficial announcement came in the midst of a conversation regarding the integrity of Hussle's legacy, including discussion of an upcoming docuseries. This eventually led to Blacc Sam mentioning a record Hussle had been working on with Bino Rideaux. This wouldn't be Hussle's first time collaborating with Rideaux, with the two releasing the mixtape No Pressure in 2017.

Blacc Sam says the album was "pretty much 80% finished," and that they've been looking to unused verses by Hussle to complete it.

The unnamed project would only be the second studio album by Hussle. Despite a prolific career including both the Bullets Ain't Got No Names and Marathon mixtape series, it wasn't until 2018's Grammy-nominated Victory Lap that Hussle made his studio debut.

While nothing seems set in stone, Sam mentioned they're aiming for a summer 2025 release date. Watch the full interview below:
