Electronic group DARKSIDE have just announced that their third full-length record, Nothing, will be released on February 28. Previously, they made us wait eight years for a new album, dropping their debut Psychic in 2013 and their follow-up Spiral in 2021. Nothing's release next month effectively halves the downtime between their records.

That's the first of three announcements the group made today. They've also released a music video for the single "S.N.C.", which you can check out below, and revealed that they're going on a North American tour for the first time in over a decade.

Nothing will be DARKSIDE's first studio album with percussionist Tlacael Esparza. He joined the group, then comprised of Nicolás Jaar and Dave Harringont, in 2022 for the live album Live at Spiral House.

In the press release from Matador Records, Nothing is described as "a search for form borne out of spontaneous elliptical jams, acoustic riffing, and digital levitations." The release also states the following:

The outcome is magnetic and hieroglyphic. This album slips through the cracks of convention with serpentine guitars, extraterrestrial static, and cavernous drums. Haunted rhythms, distorted vocals, and uncanny beauty.
