NBA YoungBoy released from federal prison

After nearly a year in federal prison, NBA YoungBoy has been transferred to a residential reentry management facility in Phoenix, Arizona, per WVUE. According to federal records, NBA YoungBoy (real name Kentrell Gaulden) was moved from FCI Talladega, a federal prison in Alabama, to the Phoenix Residential Reentry Management field office.

Gaulden was arrested last April for 46 charges relating to what prosecutors called a "large-scale prescription drug fraud ring." He pleaded guilty in Utah's Logan District Court to ten counts, and received felony charges for Class A misdemeanors and a $25,000 fine. YoungBoy already was sentenced to 27 months in custody and 60 months of probation for separate federal firearm charges.

YoungBoy's release comes earlier than his expected release date in July. He has a planned full release date of April 26th.

Earlier today, DJ Akademiks gave another update on YoungBoy, stating that he is "home spending time w family" with a tour on the way.

Earlier this year, YB released More Leaks, a compilation project and his "last project" before his release from prison.
