American country singer Nate Smith has returned with a brand-new music video for his collaborative release with Avril Lavigne. "Can You Die From A Broken Heart" is an emotionally-penned release with a self-explanatory storyline.

Today the duo has shared the music video and it compliments the song's melancholy through dramatic shots. Directed by Mason Allen and Nikki Fletcher, throughout the video the pair encapsulates a pensive nostalgia.

The new single comes as a further success story for the country singer, as it has debuted in the Top 15 on Billboard’s Country Album Chart. In addition, it makes the second duet with Lavigne following their remix of Smith's RIAA-certified platinum No. 1 hit single “Bulletproof”.

Taken from Smith's third studio album California Gold, coming just six months after his sophomore full-length project Through the Smoke, it's fair to say Smith has plenty of music to work with this year.
