Myrkur, the project helmed by Danish multi-instrumentalist Amalie Bruun, has released a cinematic new single "Touch My Life And Die" to serve as an entry into the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix song competition.
Watch the official music video below:
Commissioned by Danish broadcaster DR, the song draws threads from Nordic mythology, human vulnerability, and cinematic grandeur, gathering them into a moment where darkness is not hidden, but allowed to speak.

Recorded last winter with Christopher Juul (Heilung), Myrkur describes "Touch My Love And Die" as a work into which she poured "heart, soul, blood, and tears" into its creation.
More like a ritual than a song, the composition incorporates elements from metal, Nordic folk music, and film scores, recorded in Dolby Atmos and featuring cello, a girl's choir, ancient folk instruments and drums captured by more than 40 microphones.
The song is quite the endeavor, as the winner of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix will represent Denmark at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna in May.
