Morgan Wallen will not submit 'I'm The Problem' for 2026 Grammys

Morgan Wallen's team has confirmed that the chart-topping country star will not be submitting his album, I'm The Problem, for consideration for the 68th annual Grammy Awards.

I'm The Problem, which Wallen released in May of this year, has been at the top of the Billboard 200 for 11 non-consecutive weeks now. The 37-track long project has also spawned multiple number 1 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, as well as the number 1 hit song "What I Want" featuring Tate McRae.

Morgan's team have also declined to put Wallen forward for any of the individual song categories, including Best Country Solo Performance and any of the songwriting awards. However, they will not be barring any of the album's other songwriters or performers for submitting their contributions to The Grammys.

Despite remarkable commercial success over the past decade in one of music's most popular genres, Morgan Wallen has not received much Grammy love. The only nominations he has ever received have been for his Post Malone duet "I Had some Help" off of Malone's project F1 Trillion. Wallen is one of 19 artists to ever spend 30 or more weeks at number one on the Billboard 2000; of those 19 acts, he and The Monkees are the only ones to never win a single Grammy.

Wallen joins a short list of superstars who have outright refused to submit their music to the Grammys. Notably, Drake boycotted the awards in 2022, where he would have been up for Best Rap Album for Certified Lover Boy. The Weeknd also has recused himself from The Grammys after being shut out in 2021, in spite of the massive commercial and critical success of his album After Hours.

It is still possible that Wallen will find himself nominated if, for example, Tate McRae were to submit their duet for nomination.

Morgan Wallen and his team have yet to comment on the decision.
