The Netherlands-based Turkish artist Min Taka has shared a new song called "I Don't Want To". It's a propulsive jam that shrewdly combines club-friendly elements with a bubbly psych pop pulse.

"I Don't Want To!" recollects a "september slump" experience, where procrastination and the post-vacation-doze can do quite a number on one's productivity. Supposedly if a slumping Min Taka can produce something as infectious and immediately catchy as "I Don't Want To!", we'd love to see what she comes up with when fully locked in.
With "I Don't Want To!", Min Taka has announced an upcoming EP. The songwriter is a well-traveled soul; after studying at Berklee College of Music, she went back to Istanbul during the pandemic to create buzz in the local scene before enlisting at Rotterdam's Codarts school. The project's name derives from a myth of a vanishing planet, penning genre-bending pop songs – sung both in Turkish and English – that touch on "themes of identity, belonging, femininity, and connection."
Min Taka has previously released the EP Partiyi Durdurun!, which can be heard here.
