Miley Cyrus releases title track to upcoming album 'Something Beautiful'

It's a Miley Monday. Miley Cyrus just released the title track to her forthcoming album Something Beautiful. This morning, the pop star dropped the opening track, aptly titled "Prelude". Then, a countdown appeared on her YouTube channel for the music video to "Something Beautiful", the album's title track.

Now, the song and its accompanying music video are out. Watch it below. The video was directed by Jacob Bixenman, Brendan Walter, and the singer herself.

The full album will be out on May 30th and was executive produced by Cyrus and Shawn Everett (Alabama Shakes, Kacey Musgraves, The War on Drugs). Something Beautiful is a visual album, and the accompanying film will be released in June. Cyrus said that "the visual component of this is driving the sound," per Harper's Bazaar.

The album is inspired by Pink Floyd's 1980 opus The Wall as well as the Nicolas Cage horror movie, Mandy. Cyrus says she wanted to make "The Wall but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture."
