Mike Patton & Avett Brothers announce album 'AVTT/PTTN', share new single "Eternal Love"

Today, a single has arrived from AVTT/PTTN, a new project featuring Mike Patton alongside Scott and Seth Avett – aka The Avett Brothers. The record arrives November 14th via Thirty Tigers, in association with Ramseur Records and Ipecac Recordings.

Musical chameleon Patton – lead vocalist of Faith No More and Mr. Bungle, in addition to his many other projects – has, admittedly, slowed down his once-prolific output in recent years, but he's still down to deliver the odd surprise. The Avetts mostly deal in folk rock, and new single "Eternal Love" is no different. Listen below:

Both brothers have cited Patton as an influence, with Scott saying that "Mike's part of our DNA, like the fabric of our youth. This is what making is supposed to be: in secret and with no ambition."

Patton added in: "My peculiar challenge in this was to become a long distant cousin. A brother that was orphaned. Maybe they kept him in the chicken coop or some shit. They brought him out years and years later."

AVTT/PTTN is out Nov 14. Pre-order the album here. Full tracklist:
