Ludacris withdraws from Rock the Country festival

Rapper Ludacris has departed the lineup of Rock the Country, an upcoming festival overseen by Kid Rock.

Rolling Stone received some clarification from a representative for Luda. "Lines got crossed and he wasn't supposed to be on there," the rep said of the "mix-up."

Rock the Country, intended to mark America's quarter-millennium in 2026, "is a place for hard-working, God-fearing patriots to gather as one and celebrate freedom, music, and the party of the year." The majority of artists on the bill have expressed an affinity for Donald Trump, including fellow rap artist Nelly, who performed at Trump's inauguration last year.

The lineup – which varies between the eight American cities Rock the Country will visit – primarily hosts rock and country acts, including Creed, Blake Shelton, and Lynyrd Skynyrd.
