British rapper Little Simz has added a second wave of artists to the already-stacked lineup for the 30th-anniversary iteration of the Meltdown music festival.

British R&B star Mahalia, Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage, Canadian hip-hop collective BADBADNOTGOOD, and British singer-songwriter James Blake will perform at the long-running music festival held June 12-22 at the Southbank Centre in London.

They will join artists like Jon Batiste, Ghetts, Lola Young, MEGA, Nubya Garcia The Streets, and others for the 10-day festival.

Annually curated by a wide array of musicians, previous years' curators include David Bowie, Robert Smith, Nick Cave, Elvis Costello, Patti Smith, and Grace Jones, among others.

Little Simz says of the musical additions:

"My team and I have prepared eleven days of art, music, workshops, and more. So many incredible artists have curated this festival so it's a true honour to be a part of it. Thank you to the Southbank Centre for having me.
“Meltdown 2025 the Simz way is going to be epic. I'll see you there.”

Jane Beese, head of contemporary music for the Southbank Centre, praises the London-born rapper's curation:

“Little Simz's first taste of what's to come from her Meltdown hugely embodies the wealth of influences and inspirations across her work ... Ranging from jazz, hip hop, R&B, electronic and soul with a line up of both renowned legends alongside the creators of the future, this is going to be London's go-to festival this summer.”

Tickets for Meltdown's recently-added shows will go on sale to members at 10 a.m. BST April 9 and will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. BST April 10. Purchase them here.
