The sixth installment in Lil Wayne's legendary Tha Carter series recently received its vinyl pressing, with the $40 signed variant selling out on his website. But fans were faced with the disappointing fact that of the 19 original songs, only six made the cut on the first pressing, with an additional three bonus tracks.
The track list goes as follows:
Side A
1. King Carter
2. Welcome to Tha Carter
3. Mula Komin In (feat. Lil Novi)
4. Bells
5. Fire Rage (feat. Trippie Redd)
Side B
6. Freak You
7. Louisiana Hot Sauce
8. Rari (feat. Kameron Carter)
9. If I Played Guitar
Lil Wayne's website presents no track list, nor any indication that the vinyl pressing is missing 13 songs from Tha Carter 6's standard edition. As many have speculated, including indie rap artist Open Mike Eagle on his personal YouTube channel, it's possible this is a result of Wayne & co. working on the record up until the final moments before it was released on streaming.
Considering the time it takes to process vinyl in order for the pressing to coincide with the digital release, it is possible that Weezy was forced to turn in what was available for the deadline, though there has been no word from his team.
No announcements have been made for a complete pressing.
