Lil Wayne responds to Kendrick Lamar 'diss' in "Wacced Out Murals"

Lurk

Kendrick Lamar surprised fans and dropped a full-length album out of nowhere yesterday, Friday, November 22nd, and it appears that Louisiana multi-platinum rapper Lil Wayne took some offense to being mentioned on the opening track of GNX, "Wacced Out Murals".

In the lead track, Lamar mentions Lil Wayne's Carter III and how he thinks all his hard work over the years let Wayne down.

“Used to bump Tha Carter III, I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down”

Recently Lamar was awarded the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show, which Wayne was also in the running for since the event is set to happen in Wayne's hometown of New Orleans.

When the announcement was made that Kendrick Lamar was selected for the event, Wayne took to Instagram to lament his feelings.

That hurt. Hurt a lot, you know what I’m talking about, hurt a whole lot. I blamed myself for not being mentally prepared for a let down which is automatically mentally putting myself in that position like somebody told me that was my position. So I blamed myself for that.
But I thought that was nothing better than that spot on that stage on that platform in my city. So it hurt. It hurt a whole lot. But Y’all are fucking amazing. It made me feel like shit not getting this opportunity and when I felt like shit, you guys reminded me that I ain’t shit without y’all and that’s an amazing reality. So, like I said, it broke me and I’m just trying to put me back together. but my god, where ever you are help me.

Following the release of GNX, Wayne once again made his feelings known to the world earlier today at 4 AM , Saturday, November 23rd, stating:

Lil Wayne wasn't the only stray the seemingly was caught in the opening track. Fellow LA rapper Snoop Dogg is also mentioned as well:

Snoop posted ‘Taylor Made,’ I prayed it was the edibles/I couldn’t believe it, it was only right for me to let it go.

This is in response to Snoop's AI voice being used on Drake's diss track "Taylor Made Freestyle", which was part of the feud between Drake and Lamar over the Summer. However, Drake was forced to eventually remove both Snoop and Tupac Shakur's voices after being threatened by Tupac's estate.

Snoop would respond clarifying it in fact was the edibles.
