If, as a thought experiment, you ever guessed what a Lil Nas X dating app bio would read like, the proudly genre-defiant singer-rapper wouldn't, uh, dream of disappointing you. In detailing the "Dreamboy" in the title of his new single out today, he declares "I like long Black dick and I like long conversations." According to the fast-paced song, with some of his sharpest double-time rapping over a chunk of piano chords that's both jazzy and ominous, he also likes cuddling with his cats and "boys who have a smell to 'em." (Not too much of a smell though, he's quick to shoot down "stanky booty bitches" who "take [his] fun and make it misery.")
The song trails a chunk of new tunes that he threw on the web a few months ago: "Need Dat Boy," "Light Again!" "You Are Everything!" along with a trailer for an album that's also looking like it will be called Dreamboy. According to Billboard, another presumed Dreamboy tune, "Hotbox," is expected to drop Friday. And, of course, last year Lil Nas unveiled the single "J Christ," with an elaborate video that I bet Southern Baptists just adored.
Oh, and the striking "Dreamboy" visualizer features LNX packaged like a Ken doll. Watch and listen below before he makes it "scary like the ending of October."
