Lil Baby has finally graced us with an update regarding his upcoming album, Dominique, following the missed target of its initial February release. In a social media post, he says that the album is now set to drop in May.
He stated in the video:
"The album dropping in eight weeks. I had to push it back."

Earlier this year, Lil Baby released WHAM, which debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 chart for the week ending January 18, topping releases from artists including Bad Bunny and SZA. The album, which came out on January 3, features collaborations with artists such as Travis Scott, Future, Young Thug, GloRilla, Rod Wave, Rylo, and 21 Savage.
After the announcement of Dominique, Lil Baby had shared some figures for WHAM on Instagram, and hinted at the new album with the caption: βSee yall again in a couple weeks βDominiqueβ The Album 2-?-25.β Now that February has come and gone, Baby had many fans asking where the heat was.
In a talk with Lil Yachty on his A Safe Place podcast back in December, the Atlanta rapper went over the contrasting themes of the two albums. He said that while WHAM has some tracks which were originally intended for Dominique, WHAM leans more youthful and upbeat, while Dominique will feature a more introspective and personal viewpoint from Baby. On that podcast he also mentioned that he wanted to try and connect more deeply with his audience, saying he intends to be more open, so it will be interesting to see the type of lyrical content that shows up on the new record.
