Library Card channel a reversed yearning on new track "Days Of Clay"

Dutch punks Library Card have dropped a new song called "Days Of Clay" today, a duet of sorts featuring Axender.

It's conversational track that harnesses a quiet/loud dynamic, echoing shades of Pavement and fellow Rotterdammers Lewsberg. The music unfurls into a phone conversation between Axender and Library Card vocalist Lot van Teylingen, veering into a quiet desperation between the small talk: "Please pick up/Call me back".

The band had to following to say about the track.

"'Days of Clay'" is about longing for a time you didn't experience, a reversed yearning. We wanted to create a song that feels like receiving a postcard from a past you didn't live in, but that still feels familiar somehow."

Library Card previously released the song "Art School" and dropped their debut EP Nothing, Interesting in May last year. The band is reportedly working on their debut album, yet no official announcement has been made as of yet.

Music is rad, end of story.
