Legendary actor Tim Curry dies at age 80

Tim Curry, the actor best known for his roles in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and It has passed away at age 80.

According to a TMZ article published Thrusday, police responded to the actor's Los Angeles residence at 11:23 PM Tuesday night. Currently, there is no foul play suspected in the role of Curry's death.

Curry, born in England, was renowned for his roles in various films, plays, and television shows. He was unfortunately plagued with health issues throughout his life, most recently a debilitating stroke in 2012. He leaves behind a legacy that also includes memorable roles in films like Clue, Addams Family Reunion, and the children's animated TV series The Wild Thornberrys. He also had a rich life in the theatre, resulting in three Tony nominations.

Curry leaves behind no partner or children.

In 2020, Curry reprised his role as Frank-N-Furter at a table read of Rocky Horror (which was his first film) at an event supporting Joe Biden. He also released a memoir, Vagabond, in 2025.
