Underground rap has always had a reputation for being insular in how it’s created and consumed. But for many artists, the real thrill lies in collaboration, in testing how different styles and personalities can lock in together. That spirit is on full display with Larry June, Curren$y, and The Alchemist, three longtime collaborators who are finally formalizing their chemistry with a full-length trio project dropping next week: Spiral Staircases.

Details on Spiral Staircases are still pretty scarce, leaving plenty of room for speculation. What we do have, though, is “Everything Allocated” a lead single that feels both polished and slightly raw in the best way.
