With tickets released for Lana Del Rey's first-ever UK and Ireland stadium tour, fans have lashed out at the singer over high ticket prices.
Some standing tickets were being sold at over ยฃ400 (just over $500 USD), drawing ire from many fans. Tickets in similar sections in the same venues were sold for only a little over ยฃ100 earlier this year, leading some fans to say she's "having a laugh."
Contrarily, Lana's camp have defended the prices, noting that "90% [of tickets] are fixed price between ยฃ70-162.50." With Lana announcing that her tenth studio album, The Right Person Will Stay, will be released in May next year, fans can expect to hear songs from the new record as well as her back catalogue. In response to the extremely high demand for the shows, Lana has announced an extra show at London's Wembley Stadium for July 4th, 2025.
Conversations about ticket prices have been a hot topic in the UK ever since hundreds of official complaints were lodged against Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing model used in the Oasis reunion. In the aftermath of that debacle, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) launched an investigation into Ticketmaster regarding the use of dynamic pricing to see if they had breached consumer protection laws.
