Lady Gaga covers the 'Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood' theme

Dan Weiss

The Super Bowl is February 8th, so commercials are coming out of the woodwork featuring unexpected celebrities in unexpected ways. So Rocket Mortgage have paid Lady Gaga probably a huge amount for a spot where she sings "Won't You Be My Neighbor?", the theme song from the landmark children's program Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.

Normally this would be a big corporate eyeroll (mortgage, houses, neighbors, got it), but in the wake of the NFL Halftime Show tapping staunchly anti-Trump talents Bad Bunny and Green Day to ward off the cursed president, it's a welcome injection of further humanity into the event. Or something. It's just never a bad idea to invoke the kindly spirit of the late Fred Rogers.

Check out Gaga's version of the warm and fuzzy nostalgia bait below.
