Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars have made history with their joint single “Die With A Smile”.

The recent hit from Gaga’s upcoming album MAYHEM has become the longest-running daily #1 hit on Spotify's daily global chart history, with 121 days (non-consecutive) atop the chart, dethroning the previous record holder, “Dance Monkey” by Tones and I.

The collaboration first entered the chart at position 10 on August 16, 2024, with a total of 178 days on the chart so far. It has been streamed 1.8 billion times on Spotify. It has also spent four consecutive weeks atop the Billboard hot 100 and 24 weeks in total.

Coincidentally, ROSÉ’s “APT.” – another track featuring Mars – has spent 28 days at the top of the chart and has competed with “Die With A Smile”, with the two songs replacing each other at #1 several times; the former currently sits at #2. Moreover, Gaga’s latest single, “Abracadabra”, which she surprise-released during the 2025 Grammy Awards, debuted at #8 on February 3 and has climbed to #5 as of February 9.

“Die With A Smile” is likely to hold the spot or top the Spotify chart a few more times before it finally dropping off for good, setting the bar high for any other song to break the milestone.
