The Irish rap trio Kneecap performed at Coachella on Friday, April 11, with their set streamed live on the festival’s official YouTube channel.
Near the end of their performance, Mo Chara shouted, “If anyone is wondering if Margaret Thatcher is still dead,” before leading the crowd in a chant of “Maggie’s in a box," which you can watch below.

Fans watching at home claimed the livestream cut out during the chant, but Kneecap later took to social media to allege that it wasn’t the only portion removed.
In response to an NME post on X dated April 13, the group wrote: “Our messaging on the US-backed genocide in Gaza somehow never appeared on screens either.”
According to NME, Kneecap closed their set with chants of “Free Palestine” and amended some of their lyrics to contain additional references to Gaza.
However, the group also noted they’ll be back next Friday, assuring fans: “It’ll be sorted.” You can check out their full statement below.
Not the only thing that was cut - our messaging on the US-backed genocide in Gaza somehow never appeared on screens either.
