Just in time for Christmas, socialite Kim Kardashian has dropped a cover of “Santa Baby,” making this her first song since her lone 2011 single “Jam (Turn It Up).” “Santa Baby” was produced by Travis Barker, drummer of Blink-182 and Kardashian’s brother-in-law through sister Kourtney.
Check out Kardashian’s cover with an accompanying video directed by recent SKIMS collaborators Nadia Lee Cohen and Charlie Denis below.
In the video, Kardashian crawls through a disheveled house featuring, but not limited to: Christmas carolers, a near-catatonic nun, someone in a chipmunk costume getting caressed on its stomach, a scantily clad game of Twister, and two partygoers impersonating Jesus Christ and Mary Magdalene, complete with a donkey at Magdalene’s side. Oh, and Macaulay Culkin makes a surprise appearance at the end as Santa himself.
“Santa Baby” was originally performed and made popular by Eartha Kitt and Henri René and His Orchestra in 1953. Several artists have covered the cheeky tune since then, including Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Madonna, and more. As this is her first track in 13 years, it’s currently unsure whether this spells a full return to music for Kardashian.
