Kendrick Lamar's movie with the 'South Park' creators has been delayed to 2026

It might be news to you that this project exists at all. But since at least 2022, Kendrick Lamar has been working with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone via their artificial intelligence studio Deep Voodoo, which was credited for the deep fake technology in Lamar's now-infamous video for his single, "The Heart Part 5".

Apparently, this brief collaboration sparked a full-on partnership, with Parker and Stone working together with Lamar's company, pgLang, and together they will be releasing a movie written by Wonder Showzen and Xavier: Renegade Angel creator, Vernon Chatman.

The unnamed film was set to release on July 4 this year, but at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Paramount, who is producing the movie, announced that the date has been pushed back to March 20, 2026.

Details concerning the film have been far and few between, but the delay isn't exactly surprising, considering Lamar's massive Grand National tour, spanning from April 19 to August 9, leaving little room for promotion.
